United States Ambassador to India Richard Verma will deliver a talk on "Defending the Global Commons" on August 14 at the ORF Conference Hall.
The event will be held from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. and will be chaired by Mr. Sunjoy Joshi, Director, ORF.
Ambassador Verma is the 25th United States Ambassador to India. As a former Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs in the Obama Administration, he led the State Department's efforts on Capitol Hill and served as a senior member of Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton's team.
He is the recipient of the State Department's Distinguished Service Award, the Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellowship, and was ranked by India Abroad as one of the 50 most influential Indian Americans.
