In the wake of the recent terror attacks in France, the US has issued a worldwide travel threat alert to its citizens.
According to Stuff.co.nz, a statement issued by the State Department said that they "believe the likelihood of a terror attack in Europe is increased as European members of IS return from Syria and Iraq".
It also warned citizens about the risk of retaliation against US and Western targets in response to the US-led intervention against Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq.
An excerpt from the statement reportedly said: "Recent terrorist attacks, whether by those affiliated with terrorist entities, copycats, or individual perpetrators, serve as a reminder that US citizens need to maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness.
