The United States military officials on Wednesday confirmed that nine personnel were aboard the military plane that crashed near Savannah in Georgia state.
Maj. Paul Dahlen of the Puerto Rican National Guard confirmed to CNN that the plane, Air National Guard WC-130 carried nine personnel including five crew and four passengers,
Dahlen said the plane was flying out to Arizona from the 156th Airlift Wing in Puerto Rico to be de-commissioned.
A Puerto Rican Government source said that none of the personnel apparently survived the plane crash.
Meanwhile, Highway 21 in Savannah, where the accident took place will remain closed on the order of the Effingham County Sheriff.
