The US-India Business Council on Wednesday announced that it will host Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Barack Obama for a first-ever joint address to the business community during the latter's visit of India.
"With business sentiment at an all-time high, the timing [of President's Obama's visit] could not be better. We see both countries working earnestly and with a firm resolve towards achieving USD 500 billion in two-way trade over the next five years," USIBC acting president Diane Farrell said.
The USIBC had played host to President Obama's first trip to India in 2010 and to Prime Minister Modi during his visit of the US in 2014.
President Obama, who is the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations, will become the first US President to visit India twice during his term.
