When a 7-year-old boy sent a letter to the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, to ask him whether ninjas or SEALS were quieter, no one expected to get a reply from Adm. William McRaven himself.

McRaven, who is credited with organizing and executing the raid that led to the death of Osama bin Laden, claimed that the ninjas were probably quieter than SEALS in his answer, the New York Daily News reported.

McRaven, however, added in his letter to Walker Greentree that SEALS "were better swimmers, and also better with guns and blowing up things" than ninjas.

Greentree, who belongs to a military family, wrote the letter after his mom scolded him for creating a ruckus and asked him to be quite like SEALS.

However, Greentree's friends argued that ninjas were known for their stealth, which prompted the child to write the letter.
