Tibetan students took out a peace march on the 56th Anniversary of the "Tibetan National Uprising Day" here on Tuesday.
The students said they wanted to commemorate the deaths of their sisters and brothers in 1959.
"We are here to conduct a peace march. China may be economically rich but we need our own country and we will fight for it. India has given us a lot and we hope you support us in our struggle," said a protester.
Earlier today, Delhi Police baton charged and detained exiled Tibetans who were staging a protest outside the Chinese Embassy armed with flags and banners demanding a free Tibet.
