Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary Prakash Karat on Sunday said businessman and Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra's angry response to a journalist when asked about his land deals was uncalled for and regrettable.

"The behavior of Robert Vadra in dealing with the media person is uncalled for. It's regrettable that he has behaved in such a manner," said Karat.

Meanwhile, film-maker Ashok Pandit said that Vadra's behavior with the journalist reflects his arrogance which is unacceptable.

"Robert Vadra's reaction to a journalist is a sign of arrogance which is condemnable. The government should withdraw his security. He still feels that he is ruling the country," he told ANI in Mumbai.

Earlier on Saturday, Vadra lost his temper and pushed an ANI reporter's mic away, when asked a question about his land deals in Haryana.

"Are you serious? Are you serious? Are you nuts? What is wrong with you," Vadra kept asking repeatedly.

Vadra and his security guards also threatened the reporter and asked him to turn off his camera at an event held at the Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi. The media was formally invited to cover the event.
