Manchester United football team manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that the club needs to turn on the style and become more attractive to start entertaining fans with their goals again.
United have failed to score in their last two games and were slammed for drawing a blank in their embarrassing goalless FA Cup draw away to League Two Cambridge United.
Many of United's star names, including striker Robin van Persie and record 59.7 million pounds signing Angel Di Maria, have fallen short this season and the Dutchman has told them that it is time to prove their worth, the Mirror reported.
Van Gaal might have made United more organised and harder to beat with his possession-based 3-4-1-2 system, but that has come at the expense of the club's famous attacking swagger and flair.
Van Gaal said that the last matches they failed to produce enough entertainment because, of course, the goals are the most important thing. So, he added that when they are not scoring too much then the fans cannot enjoy the game.
But, the Dutchman claimed that United has a lot of players who are attractive to see, so he added that he doesn't believe that they are not attractive enough. But he said that they have to score more goals, especially when one sees the last games, but claimed that these games were also special.
Van Gaal said that it's the FA Cup, they have to play away, and Southampton are a very good, organised team, so he added that it's not so strange that it's happening, but insisted that they have to improve in their attacking organisation.
