Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has claimed that goal-keeper Victor Valdes will be sold in the coming days after he refused to play in the reserves last season.
Valdes was given a lifeline by the Dutchman when he gave him an 18-month deal after suffering from a serious knee injury.
Van Gaal said that Valdes doesn't follow his philosophy and there was no place for someone like him, the BBC reported.
The 33-year-old's omission from the pre-season squad, currently touring U.S, came as a big surprise.
Meanwhile, United number one David Gea has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
The Manchester United boss, however, revealed that the former Barcelona goalkeeper would not be replacing Gea and he would be sold in the days to come.
