Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday, claimed that the recent budget presented by the government, had every ingredient to pull the economy out of rut and sought some time from the opposition to rectify the situation.

"They have left the economic situation in tatters and it will take time to rectify the situation. The good days cannot come overnight. Every ingredient is present in the budget that will ensure that good days come back. That's why the people nationwide are happy. Our request to the Congress is that they should wait for some time, if there is bad work they can oppose but it is not good to just oppose from day one and the people do not like such an attitude," Naidu said.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had presented the General Budget for fiscal 2014-15 in the Lok Sabha on July 10 which has not been welcomed by the Congress and the opposition who term this budget as not meant for the common man.
