In a fervent appeal on her home turf, YS Vijayamma on Saturday urged the people to vote for the YSR Congress Party and be stakeholders in the development process of the state.

She also slammed N Chandrababu Naidu for trying to invoke NTR during elections though his opportunist policies have lead to the death of the founder president of TDP.

"Vote for YSRCP and be part of the development process which YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be ushering in, by reviving all the welfare schemes of YSR and the five promises he has made which will be put the state on the development path," she said addressing the home crowd as she canvassed for party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the assembly segment as part of the YSR Janabheri electioneering and listed out all the candidates contesting for the civic, mandal and Parliament elections.

"YSR has introduced welfare schemes that have touched all the sections of the society while Chandrababu Naidu has never fulfilled any of his promises. He invokes NTR before elections and tries to own up his legacy though he has backstabbed him and grabbed the power and party from him in a bloodless coup. He has thrown the founder president out of the party and was responsible for NTR's death," alleged Vijayamma.

She also said that Naidu has been a habitual hypocrite and stakes false claims besides dolling out false promises.

"He has been campaigning about waiver of agriculture loans which is an impossible task. Waiver of loans is a Central subject and the State has no say, while the TDP leader is trumpeting that he will do the impossible. Such fake and fraudulent people should not be believed," she added.

"Naidu has been boasting of removing belt shops but it was he who has lifted the prohibition, introduced by NTR, and opened belt shops at every nook and corner of the state. He speaks of shaping the state into Singapore but his nine year rule has been a disaster. There was no food, no water, no fodder, no jobs, no electricity and all basic amenities were lacking," she said.

Vijayamma said that Hyderabad was in the fifth position in the country even while Naidu was a kid and his claims of developing the city is false and faulty. She said that Naidu swanks of converting Hyderabad into IT hub but the city has dropped from 3rd to fifth place and the IT exports were 9 % on a national scale while Karnataka share was pegged at 36 %. YSR term has seen the IT exports to 14 %.

She said that the international airport, Outer Ring Road and Express Highway came up during the YSR term and not during Chandrababu term as he is falsely claiming.

"He had earlier promised to shape the state into Swarnandhra Pradesh but has created a rundown economy with steep hike in prices, heavy taxation and lack of economic generation. He is now promising of providing one job per family but during his nine-year term, he has closed down any industries and rendered lakhs of people jobless. He made his opinion very clear while he was chief minister that agriculture was a waste and spoke ill of government employees," she added.

"YSR on the other hand had put the state development back on track and introduced, Aarogyasri, fees reimbursement, pavala vaddi, increased the pension amount to old people and launched Jalayagnam and other schemes which benefitted all sections of the people in all the 23 districts," she said.

She also targeted the Kiran Kumar Reddy government and said that it has reversed YSR's schemes and has increased all charges and taxes.

"He has given route maps for the division and at the last moment came out and is now trying be a champion of Samaikhyandhra, while YSRCP had always wanted to keep the state untied," she added.

She alleged that Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj along with TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu are equally responsible for the division of the state.

"These people will also come to you seeking votes and this being a crucial election, I appeal you to give YSRCP candidates a decisive mandate as you have done earlier and be part of development process of the state," she said.
