Indian boxing sensation Vijender Singh is most likely to face British and Commonwealth super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding in United Kingdom on March 30.
Reflecting on the same, the boxers management firm IOS said that Fielding has been ordered to defend his newly-acquired super-middleweight title against Vijender.
"In the latest Commonwealth Boxing Council bulletin, British and Commonwealth Super middleweight Champion Rocky Fielding has been ordered to defend his newly-acquired super-middleweight title against Indian superstar Vijender Singh," the boxers management firm said.
"This mega fight between two champion boxers is scheduled for 30th March 2018 in UK. Fielding won the belt on 30th September with a crushing victory over David Brophy in Liverpool and has been put straight in at the deep-end opposite the ex-amateur star," the release further said.
The 2008 Beijing Olympic medallist, who has remained unbeaten since his debut in professional boxing and has a 9-0 record on the pro circuit, had last knocked out China's Zulpikar Maimaitiali for the unified WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental Super Middleweight title.
The strapping six-footer could now meet Fielding in a massive contest provided both sides are on board and agree terms in the coming months.

Fielding is also former WBA Inter-Continental super middleweight champion as well as a former WBA Commonwealth and English Super middleweight champion.
