England's humiliated cricketers have reportedly been offered a chance to regain victory by a village club in Oxfordshire in exchange of 100 pounds in a bid to boost the team's shattered confidence following their 5-0 Ashes loss in Australia.
Along with the Ashes battering, Alastair Cook's troops are also trailing 3-0 with two to play in the ongoing ODI series against Australia.
However, Metro.co.uk reports that village side Hurley Cricket Club, which was established in 1904, has agreed to let the national team romp to victory so they can then head into the summer with a win under their belts, for just 100 pounds.
And as well as the game, the package includes a traditional 'tea' and free drinks, including a range of local ales, from the club's famous bar, the report mentioned, with club secretary Mike Walton saying that as it has been a horrible tour for England so they feel that it is their civic duty to offer them a confidence-building game.
Walton also said that normally the honour of having internationals at the club would be enough, but the team have been so off form of late, that they would need to be paid for the 'embarrassment' of losing to them.
The club's generous offer has been backed up by an online gift and experience site buyagift.com, which is hosting the exclusive 100-pound package, the report added.
