Indian cricketer Virat Kohli will soon be appointed as the first brand ambassador of the Border Security Force (BSF).
Kohli has been bestowed this honour for his outstanding example of hard work, supreme dedication, valiant fighter spirit, supreme concentration and perseverance, the qualities which are synonymous to a BSF leader.
Established on December 1, 1965, the BSF is the country's second largest paramilitary force, and is charged with guarding India's land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime.
It is a Union Government Agency under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs.
It is one of many law enforcement agency of India.It currently stands as the world's largest border guarding force.
Kohli has been roped in by the Border Security Force (BSF) in order to bolster the appeal of the 2.5-lakh personnel strong force which is primarily tasked to guard two crucial Indian borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh.

BSF Director General Subhash Joshi and other senior officers will officially welcome him as an ambassador even as the young cricketer will talk to the men and officials of the force about his strides in the game and hardwork.
This is the first time that a central paramilitary force has appointed a brand ambassador.
