The Delhi High Court on Wednesday reserved its order on the bail plea of LIC agent Anand Chauhan in a money laundering case.
A Delhi court earlier in August last year dismissed Chauhan's bail petition.
Chauhan was arrested in July last year in Chandigarh by the Enforcement Directorate under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for not cooperating with the agency.
The Enforcement Directorate, in September last year, filed a charge sheet against Chauhan in a money laundering case involving Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and others.
He was instrumental in investing Rs. five crore in LIC polices in the name of the family of Singh including his wife and children.
The Delhi court earlier in November last year extended the custody of Shukla till November 24, 2016 in connection with the same case.
