Former West Indies captain Vivian Richards has said that the success of the inaugural edition of the Pakistan Super League seems inevitable, insisting that the lucrative T20 tournament will be an ideal platform for the country's raw talents to hone their skills and abilities.

The 63-year-old cricketing legend, who will mentor PSL franchise Quetta Gladiators, also emphasised that Pakistan have no dearth of talented cricketers and asserted that he doesn't find any reason the PSL was not going to succeed, the Dawn reported.

Recalling his playing days, Richards said that he had always enjoyed playing against Pakistan because of their aggressive mindset, adding that this was the only team which had created problems for them.

The PSL is slated to begin from Thursday in the United Arab Emirates. The glittering tournament will also feature international superstars like Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, Lasith Malinga, Luke Wright, Grant Elliott and Tim Bresnan.
