Smart gadgets are a right of every citizen, and of children too. Proving this, a tech toy company has reportedly unveiled what it calls the world's first 'smartwatch for kids'.

The KidiZoom smartwatch, by VTech, is sans Internet, which essentially makes it not-so-smart, but still allows kids to snap a picture, record a video and play games directly on it.

According to Mashable, the 1.4-inch smartwatch is likely to cost around 49.99 dollars when it hits the market this fall.

The smartwatch comes in colourful graphics and users can switch from a digital to analog clock and customize the wallpapers that sit behind the time.

The KidiZoom Smart Watch currently comes in just blue and pink, but a company spokesperson said that VTech was looking at adding more designs and style options.

The smartwatch also has special effects that include customized photo frames, filters and distortion effects that could be applied to images.

Other features include a rechargeable battery, alarm clock, timer, stopwatch a voice recorder with voice changing effects (i.e. robot mode) and three built-in games, such as a a puzzle game, a matching game and a memory game, the report added.
