Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday tweaked his "silly issues" statement with regard to the Vyapam scam, saying that the case was a matter of serious concern.

"I never said that Vyapam scam case is simple and silly. I said it is a matter of serious concern. I had said that Lalit Modi's case is very simple and silly, but I never said that the Vyapam case is simple and silly," Gowda said.

"And that the state has to take steps as to how the investigation should be proceeded upon," he added.

Earlier, the Minister had said, "For each silly issue, asking the Prime Minister to answer, is not fair."

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that he will request the state high court to order the CBI to conduct its inquiry into the Vyapam scam and added that he has complete faith in the judiciary.
