Youth Congress workers staged a protest against the Shivraj Singh Chauhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government here on Wednesday in connection with the Vyapam scam.
The police used water canon to disperse the protestors and bring the situation under control.
The protestors criticized the BJP-led government in the state for the police brutality against them.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had yesterday said that the allegations levelled by the Congress against him and members of his family in connection to the Vyapam scam were baseless and made out of frustration.
"Congress is indulging in completely baseless and false allegations out of frustration. For them, I am like a thorn in their eyes," Chouhan said.
"The matter is being investigated under the supervision of the Supreme Court. This is not the first allegation and certainly not the last. All investigations are being done with an unbiased approach," he added.

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh had on Monday alleged that Chouhan's name was replaced by Union Minister Uma Bharti and others in the Vyapam case.
Singh also added that Chouhan's name was replaced in the excel-sheet submitted by the Special Task Force in the court, apparently to shield him in the case.
The Vyapam scam was a massive admission and recruitment scam involving politicians, senior officials and businessmen.
