Australian spin legend Shane Warne has again lashed out an attack on Alastair Cook's leadership abilities, imploring the batsman should either quit the England captaincy or take a break from cricket.

Warne said that Cook was himself responsible for the 'worst day' of international captaincy he'd ever seen during the course of England's 100-run second Test defeat by Sri Lanka at Headingley earlier this week.

According to Sport24, Warne said that there are three ways to go with Alastair 'Cooked' Cook.

The spin legend wrote in his column in a British newspaper that Cook can stick his head in the sand and just allow things to keep going as they are and hope that he finds form with the bat and by a miracle discover some tactical brains from somewhere.

Warne added that Cook can either step down from the captaincy to concentrate on his batting or the most radically, he takes a complete break away from the game.

The Australian further added that lots of people, including himself, think that it is time for Cook to step down as captain.
