Australian batsman David Warner, who reportedly caused offence during the Ashes last November by branding Jonathan Trott as 'weak', has reportedly offered sympathy to his old England rival for his stress recovery.

The outspoken Australian opener reportedly did not know that Trott was going through a personal turmoil, which made him fly home after the opening Ashes Test in Brisbane, Australia, and England termed it as a 'stress-related illness'.

However, Warner, who was unkown to Trott's condition, wishes him well in his recovery and said that it is always disappointing to hear something like that about anyone, adding that it does not matter who they are or what job it is, the Guardian reported.

Warner said that if one feels like they cannot give 100 percent and commit 100 percent than he has done the right thing.

The Australian batsman said that what happened to Trott last year and what the England batsman said in his recent interview depicted that he has got problems.

Warner said that he wishes Trott all the best and that he hopes the England batsman can get through this and get back on the park.

However, Warner added that if Trott is not able to get through it he still wishes him the best for his future endeavours.

Although Trott's main priority is his own well being currently, Warner hopes that the man who had been England's rock at No. 3 will one day be able to return to the game, the report added.
