England skipper Alastair Cook, who is jubilant with an emphatic win over Australia, has said his boys have shown that they are a 'dangerous side'.
The England bowlers came out with a splendid bowling performance on the fourth day and guided their team to an emphatic 169-run victory in the first Ashes Test at Cardiff.
Cook said that it was really important for the team to show that they can compete with Australia, Sport24 reported.
He added that he was getting a bit frustrated before the first Test as everyone who came in was talking about what happened in the previous series.
He said that he was happy with the performance of the team as it was important to come and start the series well, adding that they could put Australia under pressure with the kind of attitude they showed in here.
Both teams will now face off each other in the second Test in Lords on Thursday.
