Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar, while talking about his upcoming 'Rock On' sequel said the music of the film has evolved in a beautiful manner while still holding on to its original soul.
"It's kind of music, a genre that started (to a certain extent) in a very popular, mainstream (kind of) way with 'Rock on'. With Shanker, Ehsaan, Roy again in combination with the lyrics that my father has written, we have hope to achieve the kind of music that we did in 'Rock On' but off course a maturity is there as characters are eight years ahead in their lives," said the 42-year-old during the official teaser launch of the movie.
"We have a key board player, a base and a sarod player has also joined us so a new interesting sound is there," said the 'Wazir' actor, who will also lend voice to a couple of songs.
While speaking about the story line of the sequel, Farhan said, "Life experience of all characters have changed so the writing is slightly more mature than the first one but we hope fans like it the way they did in first part."
Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, the movie also features Farhan Akhtar, Purab Kohli and Shraddha Kapoor and is slated to release on November 11.
