Asha Bhosle has said that claimed that the music industry has lost the soul in its music.

The 80-year-old singer said that till the 80s film music was good before slowly waning because the lyricists such as Sahir Ludhianvi Sahab, Majrooh Sultanpuri, Shakeel Badayuni, and H.S. Bihari were no longer there, Gulf News reported.

Bhosle said now anything and everything sells because if one keeps eating rubbish, ultimately, they will get used to it, thinking that it's good.

She added similarly, if one keeps listening to cheap songs, they will start enjoying them and that's how the public works, as they will take anything as long as it's free.

Bhosle cited examples of songs having lyrics like 'Fevicol,' 'chewing gum' and 'lungi.
