Have you ever thought of wearing a headphone on your neck? Sony's newly-formed R&D outfit, Future Lab, has showcased a pair of similar headphones worn around the neck which directs the audio upwards so that one can hear it.
According to the Verge, it has been codenamed as 'Concept N' and was showcased at South by Southwest (SXSW) festival here in Texas.
The idea behind 'Concept N' is to create a system for listening while trying to retain background noise when one is outside or riding a bike. The device also comes with an accompanying pair of cone-shaped ear pieces that communicates with the neckband.
The Bluetooth device also comes equipped with voice control and a camera, and it is programmed to respond to commands with the name 'Arc.
