Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he believed that his club's 'exceptional' record away from England means that they can compete with any other side in Europe in the Champions League.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal will be looking for a tenth consecutive away win when they face French side Marseille on Wednesday, after an incredible run which dates back to their victory at Bayern Munich in March.

However, the report mentioned that the club's title challenge and Champions League campaign will be undermined by a crippling injury list which already includes eight players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Santi Cazorla, Yaya Sanogo, Abou Diaby, Nicklas Bendtner, Tomas Rosicky, Lukas Podolski and Mikel Arteta.

However, Wenger expressed confidence over his side's success away from home as they have always been 'audacious' unlike in England, where they played with the 'handbrake on' as they did not have the same confidence, adding that their 'away' record can compare to any club in Europe even if their campaign did not always end with a win.

However, Wenger confessed that he fears his injury-hit squad will not be able to cope with the strain of the next two months as they try to maintain their impressive start in the Champions League as well as at home.
