Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has supported his midfielder Jack Wilshere's claims that the England national soccer team should allow only English people to represent it.
According to the BBC, the Frenchman warned that national teams risk replicating clubs, who buy players to represent them regardless of their passport or nationality.
Wenger said that he agreed with Wilshere and that he had himself also always said that an Englishman should manage the England team.
Wilshere, who has 10 England caps, said his comments were not in reference to Januzaj, who England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed he is monitoring, according to the report.
He had said that if someone lives in England for five years, it does not make him English.
