Everybody lies on their dating profile and on some occasions it's perfectly fine to do so.
According to the recently released book "Dataclysm: Who We Are (When We Think No One's Looking)," written by OkCupid co-founder Christian Rudder, one can lie about their exact job title and instead of giving a rundown of their job, talk about what they love about their industry, the New York Post reported.
One can also lie about their full name, their five-year plan, which includes when they want to have kids, how long they are actually planning on staying in the city or whether or not they already have a wedding venue booked "just in case".
People can also lie about their picky preferences, like what they are allergic to and their ZIP code.
