Director General (DG) of BSF, Devendra Kumar Pathak today said that whenever Pakistan has violated the ceasefire, we have given them a fitting reply and are still doing the same.

Director General of BSF, Devendra Kumar Pathak added, "I assure you on behalf of BSF that our retaliation is many times stronger than the attempts of Pakistan to violate cease fire by indulging in firing across the border."

He said, "We have inflicted more damage on Pakistan," adding, "Earlier we used to follow equal retaliation but now it is more retaliation."

Over the last few weeks, there have been a number of incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistan. According to reports, there have been 11 ceasefire violations by the Pakistan in last 10 days.

Meanwhile, BSF Inspector General (IG) Rakesh Kumar said, "Ceasefire violation has been going on from Pakistani side and they are targeting our villages. BSF has shown lots of restrain and are fully alert. There might be an infiltration ploy, that's the reason so much firing is going on."

He also added that an infiltration ploy could be the reason behind such heavy firing on the border by Pakistani troops.
