White House intruder Omar Gonzalez has been sentenced to 17 months in jail for bursting into the executive mansion with a knife in 2014.
According to News24.com, Gonzalez has already served nine months of jail time.
Gonzalez, a 43-year-old Army veteran from Copperas Cove, Texas, may be released in December provided good behavior under the sentence handed down by US District Judge Rosemary Collyer.
Collyer told Gonzalez that he was in a "bad spot" and that they empathized with his situation.
Gonzalez pleaded guilty in March to entering a restricted building while carrying a deadly weapon and assaulting a Secret Service agent.
