With the United States expressing concern over the release of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office
(PMO) Jitendra Singh on Thursday said the entire world has now accepted New Delhi's stand on terrorism.
Singh said that India would never compromise on the issue of terrorism.
"A terrorist is a terrorist, they do not have any religion. A terrorist should be treated like a terrorist, so that we are able to keep a control on terrorism," said Singh.
"And now the whole world has accepted our stand on terrorism," he added.
The Minister of State in PMO's reaction came a day after Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal said that the US was greatly concerned over Lakhvi's release
and had sought his re-arrest.

"We continue to support India's efforts to bring justice to all those who died during the 26/11 attack. There is no such thing as good terrorist or bad terrorist. Support for terrorist for any kind is not
acceptable," said Biswal.
Biswal, however, said that Pakistan has lost more lives to terrorism than any other nation and added that Islamabad needs to redouble its effort to fight the threat after the attack on a Peshawar Army school in December last year.
"Pakistan needs to redouble its efforts to deal with this issue of terrorism. Do we think that the progress satisfactory, of course not. We want to see more and we want across the board. Wherever terrorisms takes place inside Pakistan, India or Afghanistan is not acceptable," Biswal said.
"So, we will continue to press on that, we will continue to find ways, work together and address these concerns," she added.
