The Team Sky cyclist Bradley Wiggins may never race the Tour de France owing to injuries.
Wiggins became the first Brit to triumph in the world's most famous race last year in July. However with his injuries he feels he does not want to make sacrifices needed to challenge in the future, The Sun reports.
Wiggins said that he always wanted to retire at 32, after the London Olympics and there are other things within cycling that he wants to pursue.
The report said that although Wiggins pulled out of this year's event owing to knee injury caused in the Giro d'Italia, he is expected to make a comeback in next month's Tour of Poland.
