New Delhi [India], April 20 (ANI): Punjabi sensation Guru Randhawa, who is making his Bollywood debut with the song 'Tenu Suit Suit Krda' that will feature in Irrfan Khan starrer- 'Hindi Medium', believes in making trends, not following it.
In an exclusive conversation with ANI, the 'Patola' hit-maker, when asked about recreating old songs in Bollywood being a trend, said, "I believe old songs have created so beautifully. I will never recreate or re-mix old songs. I get lot of offers to recreate old songs. But, I feel there is no point in recreating old songs, they are already hit. I believe we should make fresh songs keeping in mind the current generation."
"It's a trend going on but those who are following it are not the trend makers. My case is different, I believe in making trends, I want new songs and fresh compositions to come. So that audience gets to listen something new and fresh rather than old compositions and lyrics, which are evergreen", he added.
He further added, "I always try to entertain my fans with some different sort of songs, I keep on experimenting with my music and for this reason my fans really like my compositions and my lyrical content."
Randhawa's hit track 'Suit', which was released by T-series last year, has now found a place in Irrfan Khan's upcoming flick 'Hindi Medium'. Needless to say, Irrfan's films rarely have a peppy dance number, the singer, however, has been lucky to make the actor groove to his tune.
The 25-year-old singer is currently hogging the limelight, thanks to his peppy track that is making all of us groove.
On a related note, Saket Chaudhary directed film 'Hindi Medium', that also features Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal, is scheduled to release on May 12.
