Delhi Commission for Women chief Barkha Shukla Singh on Friday said that she will reply to the notice issued by the Delhi Government, asserting that she has done nothing wrong.
"I had just requested Kumar Vishwas for his presence because that could save the girl's house, I don't think I have done anything wrong. When the girl came to us, for 20 days we tried to talk to them
directly, but we couldn't find anyone, after that we filed a complaint from the women. We will reply to the notice," Singh told ANI
Shukla's response comes in the wake of the Delhi High Court today rejecting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas's petition for a stay on summons issued by the Delhi Commission for Woman over his alleged affair with a party volunteer.
Vishwas, who has been accused of having a physical relationship with a volunteer in the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, did not appear before the DCW for a second time, when asked to yesterday.
Earlier in the day, the Delhi Government issued a notice to Singh.
