Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dilip Pandey on Thursday said that his party will start a door-to-door campaign in order to educate people on the increasing menace of dengue in the national capital.

"Our party workers from Saturday will make sure about fumigation in areas where dengue cases are observed. We will also start a door-to-door campaign, with the help of our party workers to educate the people on the increasing menace of dengue," Pandey said at a press conference here.

"Yesterday, the Aam Admi Party(AAP) unit in Delhi organized a Google hangout session at 250 different locations in Delhi. The purpose of this session was to educate party workers about the increasing menace of dengue. The experts who were part of the session suggested measures and precautions to tackle this viral disease," Pandey said.

"The ultimate aim of this session was also to educate the party workers so that they can visit homes and tell the people not to cause panic as Dengue fever is also like viral fever and is curable," he added.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court today asked the Centre and AAP Government as to what steps were being taken. The High Court directed them to file affidavits explaining the same within two weeks.

The High Court also sought responses from the NDMC and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on the steps being taken for the prevention of dengue.
