Prince William and Princess Kate are all set to make their maiden tour to India in spring 2016.
According to the officials, the 33-year-old Duke of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cambridge, who are likely to travel without their kids, will visit at the request of "Her Majesty's Government", the People magazine reports.
It is said that the royal couple will made their first official overseas tour together, since their three-day New York tour in December 2014.
The tour announcement comes on the day Queen Elizabeth welcomed India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Buckingham Palace during his official visit to the country.
