With the winter session of Parliament beginning on Thursday, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Parliament Executive met under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official (7, Race Course Road) residence here on Wednesday evening.

The meeting holds importance in the face of several important bills, including the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill, are pending to be passed by both Houses of Parliament.

At the meeting, BJP's parliament executives reportedly chalked out strategies on how to navigate the bills through both houses.

NDA constituents also met at the Prime Minister's residence to firm up their strategy for nearly month-long session.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan is also holding a meeting with leaders of all political parties to seek their cooperation for the proper functioning of the House.

The meetings are seen as significant amidst anticipation that the session could be a stormy one, as the opposition is planning to corner the government on various issues.
