A woman was killed and three others were injured in an explosion triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in front of a famed Bengaluru restaurant on Sunday night.
The blast occurred around 8.30 pm near Coconut Grove restaurant on Church Street.
After taking stock of the situation, K.J. George, the Karnataka Home Minister said that the alerts have been issued and all the necessary precautions are being taken.
"There are alerts and we have taken all the precautions. We have to be careful and alert. We should also be prepared to face them," George said.
The minister also urged the general public to help police by giving inputs.
"If you suspect anyone inform the police. I need all of yours input," he added.

A compensation of five lakh rupees was announced by the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, to the kin of the woman who was killed in the blast.
The compensation will also be given to the injured, but the quantum is not specified.
Soon after the blast occurred the site was cordoned off and cars parked at the roadside were being towed away.
Meanwhile, the security has been beefed up in the national capital following the incident.
