"The protest is held to wake up the government as cases of rapes and murders are happening so frequently in Uttar Pradesh. What happened in Mohanlalganj, the police and the administration kept on sleeping, we strongly condemn it, the UP government needs to wake up and give security to women," said Oza.

There are many cases still pending in the state. We will wait for 24 to 48 hrs and if we don't find the investigation in Mohanlalganj rape case proper then we will take further step," said Joshi.
