A new data has revealed that women are best at obeying the rules of the road than men while driving.
Jim Kirkwood, of the AA Driving School said that men and women learn to drive in different ways but the fact that men are a little more likely to pass their test first time can't be taken as an indication of whether men or women are safer, the Daily Star reported.
The Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has revealed few reasons behind people failing driving tests. For women, reverse parking came in at No.4, with 4.8 percent failing the test but the task did not even feature in the top ten for men.
Both sexes flunked the test most commonly for failing to check mirrors when changing direction and not keeping a proper eye out when coming up to a junction.
While, sticking to the rules of the road, such as obeying traffic lights, road signs and road markings, was a major problem for men, women suffered from control issues while steering, reverse parking, moving off and reversing around a corner.
However, a separate study has revealed that women were up to a fifth safer than men once they got their license.
