The typical woman changes her hair and make-up 572 times and revamps her wardrobe 298 times during her lifetime, a new poll has revealed.
The survey of 1,000 women commissioned by Sure Compressed deodorant has found that women spend 166,495 pounds and 244 days of their lives on self-improvement, the Daily Express reported.
It suggested that the average woman will change her job 21 times and learn 131 new skills over a lifetime.
The study by the toiletries firm found that women embark on 1,503 exercise regimes and 228 new diets in a bid to improve their health and broaden their minds by visiting 263 museums and art galleries.
Women surveyed admitted that they spend more than 17 days and 5,352 pounds on training courses to get ahead at work and 16 days and 5,697 pounds on picking up new skills such as learning a language.
It was also revealed that about 84 percent women make the decision themselves to try to improve, other sources of inspiration include friends- 41 percent, family- 38 percent, influential work colleagues -18 percent and social networks- 11 percent.
