Women in Tokyo have threatened to go on a sex boycott against any man who votes for the top Tokyo governor candidate Yoichi Masuzoe.
The protest has been planned against his 1989 claim that menstruation makes women unfit for government and the Twitter campaign named 'The association of women who will not have sex with men who vote for (Yoichi) Masuzoe' has so far garnered 3,000 followers since its launch, the Japan Times reported.
Masuzoe had told a men's magazine several years back that it would not be proper to have women at the highest level of government because their menstrual cycle makes them irrational.
