Former world number one golfer Tiger Woods showed glimpses of his old form as he sits two strokes behind the leader, Jason Gore, after the third round of the Wyndham Championship in North Carolina.

The 14-times major champion, who has slumped to 286 in the rankings, is eyeing to win his first title since the 2013 WGC Bridgestone.

Woods is currently tied on 13 under along with Sweden's Jonas Blixt and American Scott Brown after firing three birdies in a 68, the BBC reported.

Earlier, the 39-year-old had produced his best round in two years to share the lead at the halfway stage.

Meanwhile, Woods' compatriot Gore, who seeks his second win on the PGA Tour, posted an eight-under 62 for a two-shot lead on 15 under par.
