 "World must see glimpses of 'Incredible India': Modi")
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the world must see the glimpses of 'Incredible India'.
Addressing the ninth edition of his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme, Prime Minister Modi expressed his delight with the great response of the people across the nation who had shared pictures with him using #IncredibleIndia.
"During the last #MannKiBaat, I had asked you to share pictures from across India using #IncredibleIndia. Response was great," Prime Minister Modi said.
"So many people shared #IncredibleIndia photos on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. We will continue this. The world must see the glimpses of #IncredibleIndia," he added.
The Prime Minister had in his previous 'Mann Ki Baat'programme asked the people to share their experiences with him.
"During holiday season many of you would have gone to places, many would be planning to do so now. I don't know if you write a diary but you must write down your experiences," the Prime Minister had said in the eighth edition of the programme.
"The world is keen to know more about India, our values, our traditions, our culture," Modi said.
Speaking about the success of the first International Yoga Day on June 21, Modi appreciated the armed forces for joining the programme and their efforts to make the day a success.

"On June 21 when I saw glimpses of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon doing yoga at the UN headquarter, I felt very happy," he said.
He also urged the people to join the 'Selfie With Daughter' initiative, saying it will give a new hope to combat the plummeting sex ratio in some parts of the country.
"In Haryana, a village Sarpanch initiated a #SelfieWithDaughter initiative. I urge all of you, share a #SelfieWithDaughter. Also share a tagline that will encourage 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao'," Prime Minister Modi said while addressing the nation in the ninth edition of his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme.
In 'Mann Ki Baat', the Prime Minister shares his thoughts with the nation. The programme aims to deliver the Prime Minister's voice to the general masses of the country since television connection is still not available everywhere, especially in the rural regions of remote locations.
The first edition of the programme was aired on October 3, 2014.
