A Bristol inventor has created the world's first glow in the dark ice cream using a synthesised version of the protein, which is responsible for making the jellyfish light up.

Charlie Francis came up with the recipe of the luminous dessert, which costs 140 pounds for a single scoop, after studying jellyfish and persuading experts in China to create the protein, Metro.co.uk reported.

Francis said that the protein used in the ice cream reacts with your tongue at neutral pH, and as your mouth warms up the protein it will raise the pH level and the ice cream will glow.
