The Lankans have been successful in scalping India's second wicket by dismissing Rohit Sharma. Sharma had scored 29 runs against the Lankans after hitting three boundaries.
Sharma along with India's star batsman Virat Kohli, steadied his sides score, after India lost an early wicket in the form of Ajinkya Rahane , who just scored three runs when he was sent back to the pavilion.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss in the finals of the World T20 being played against India at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur which was marred by wet outfield which forced the toss to be delayed.
The Lankan side have made a change in the form of Thisara Perera who comes in for Seekkuge Prasanna, while the Indians have kept an unchanged side in this crucial game.
