Cheryl Cole has revealed that the pressures of 'The X Factor' led to her nervous breakdown in 2011.

The 31-year-old recording artist, who changed her name to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini after her marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, said that she was emotionally drained by her -judging role following her near-death battle with malaria, the Daily Star reported.

The former Girls Aloud star added that she has been very open about saying I had a nervous breakdown and it will never happen again though and that she thinks it was years of build-up and I needed a release and that year and a half or two years break was it.
