The struggling online games company Zynga, is expected to revive with Microsoft Xbox's chief Don Mattrick replacing its founder Mark Pincus.
Pincus is stepping down to allow Mattrick to take over as chairman and chief product officer in the company, the Guardian reports.
According to the report, Pincus said that Mattrick is 'unique' to the game business and can execute in multiple domains - hardware, software and network.
Zynga was one of the first social media companies to go public with its popular games like Words with Friends, Farmville and Draw Something.
However, with games moving from desktop to mobiles, Zynga too is facing slump in its sales with share prices going low.
Zynga recently announced it is closing offices in New York and other major cities and shedding 18 percent of its workforce.
