Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha walked out of Hazaribagh jail today after he applied for bail on Wednesday.
Sinha relented from his earlier stance and applied for a bail plea after meeting senior BJP leader L.K. Advani.
Advani had met him yesterday and persuaded him to continue his movement against power cuts in Hazaribagh after getting released from jail.
The former finance minister was arrested on June 2 after he led a BJP demonstration at the state Electricity Board office in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.
He had refused to furnish a bail bond, which led to him being jailed.
