Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Sitaram Yechury on Monday described the result of the bye-polls in Bihar as a clear indication of the change in political winds.
"Today, has been a good day in terms of political news. The victories that they (RJD and Janata Dal-United) have scored in Bihar are a very clear indication of the change in the direction of the wind," Yechury told mediapersons here after meeting RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.
The RJD, JD-U and Congress combine have registered victory in six out of ten assembly seats, which went for bye-polls on August 21.
Individually, the RJD emerged victorious in three seats, while the JD-U bagged two seats and the Congress got one seat in its kitty.
The Bharatiya Janata Party won the remaining four seats in Bihar.
In the general elections, the BJP had won 31 of Bihar's 40 parliamentary seats.
